Machair was inspired by the heavenly scent of the wild flowers that grow across the Machair on the Hebridean Isle or Tiree.   My first visit to Tiree was in mid July one year and we arrived on the island with our bikes and camping kit strapped to the back.  Upon disembarking from the ferry on a warm summer's evening I was instantly captivated by the beautiful scent that was wafting across the grasses on the breeze.  Exploring Tiree by bike is by far the best way to both see the beauty of this low lying island, and to experience the intoxicating aroma of the machair flowers.  I have been back many times since and each visit is better than the last
 
This soap is also part of our Fine Fragrances collection and has  a strikingly beautiful romantic scent, managing to portray itself as both ethereal and intense. A majestic beauty of soft Orris root and mallow flowers, with a hint of powdery violet, subtle woods and warm amber draw you in – a scent that leaves you wanting more.
